BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – It was another scorcher at Famoso Raceway as fans inundated the legendary track for Day Two of the 14th annual California Hot Rod Reunion.  It was a day filled with spectacular racing, swap meet deals and emotional ceremonies honoring the pioneers of the sport.  Here’s a look back at the day’s highlights.

 Nice lines  Reunion classic
The classic fin of a black '57 Chevy (L) shines bright in Famoso while the rare Willys coupe above is examined closely by a Reunion attendee.  The California Hot Rod Reunion brings together hot rods, street rods and drag racers to talk about their history.

 Frantic 4  Refuge from the sun
 The Frantic Four provide one of the more interesting sights in the pits.  They were honored at last year's reunion.  Racing fans relax along the strip between sessions, awaiting their favorite class.

 Fans fill the stands at Famoso for Saturday's qualifying sessions.   Somewhere in the smoke is a dragster, making its burnout at Auto Club Famoso Raceway.
 Ready to race  Sean Bellemeur's professional crew for his Plaza Hotel & Casino car are ready for action during Saturday's final qualifying session at the Reunion.  Bellemeur was the champion of June's National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Ky. and would like to defend his title in Bakersfield.
